In Romans 10 : 9-15 and Acts 13 we read of a partnership between those who are sending and those who are sent. How can we go unless we are sent? We invite you to join us as senders in our work in Peru! There are many ways to do so. You can learn about each of these ways below.
Pray for us.
"The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." James 5:16
Scripture teaches that God hears the words of His children. Just as Paul coveted the prayers of the early Christians, we too covet the prayers of the believers. As a missionary family living outside the United States, we deeply covet your prayers on our behalf. Please pray for our health and safety, for wisdom and endurance, and that doors may be opened to share the Gospel with the lost.
Partner with us financially.
"He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. " 2 Cor. 9:10
Cross-cultural ministry is a partnership, and without financial partners this work cannot happen. Paul had partners in the first century who supported him so the Gospel could be taken to the lost. Likewise, we seek to take the Gospel to the lost and we cannot accomplish this mission without monthly financial support. The Flatwoods church of Christ is our sending congregation, and all funds may be mailed directly to the church with "Goshorn Mission" on the memo line. This work is certainly a rewarding work, but that does not mean it is without its struggles. Leaving our church family, friends, and lives in the United States brings its share of difficulties. Having visitors from the States come and experience our daily life with us is both encouraging and rejuvenating. Having teams or individuals come to work alongside us can be a great help to all involved. Please give us some time to get settled into our home in Peru, but once we are there for a bit we would love to have you come!
